More About the Instructors
Cynthia Putnam, Principal at Putnam Price Group, has two decades of experience working with clients to implement customer education programs in energy efficiency and resource conservation. She served on the management team of the Washington State Energy Office prior to establishing Putnam Price Group. Her recent work includes directing the development of a nationally-recognized, professional certification program for building operators. She has been a speaker at national conferences including the Summer Study of the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy and World Workplace of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). She is an instructor in the Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate Program sponsored by Seattle City Light and Seattle Central Community College. Cynthia is a member of the U.S. Green Buildings Council, IFMA and the Bicycle Alliance of Washington, and holds board positions with the latter two organizations. She is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a Masters of Public Affairs.
Stan Price, Principal at Putnam Price Group?, has more than two decades of experience in the design and management of resource efficiency programs. He works with public, private, and not-for-profit clients helping them achieve their efficiency goals. He serves as the executive manager of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council, a trade association representing businesses that provide energy efficient products and services to the Northwest marketplace. Formerly, Stan was an Assistant Director of the Washington State Energy Office and has held management and teaching positions at both Seattle University and Washington State University. Currently, he serves on Puget Sound Energy’s Conservation Resource Advisory Group and the Energy Trust of Oregon’s Conservation Advisory Committee. He is a graduate of Indiana University and the University of Colorado.
Ken Baker, of K-Energy, is a green building consultant and advocate providing energy efficiency education since 1982. Currently, Ken is a Market Specialist for BetterBricks’ Commercial Real Estate Initiative as well as part of the BetterBricks education and training team serving Idaho and Montana. Ken is a founding member of the University of Idaho Integrated Design Lab. He also co-author with Jana Kemp of “Building Community in Buildings, The Design and Culture of Dynamic Workplaces.” Ken has degrees in Psychology and Architecture.
Terry Egnor. With over twenty five years of experience in energy management and services, Mr. Egnor, at MicroGrid and through his varied publications, has promoted the use of intelligent design and integrated systems to maximize building performance as well as provide additional customer benefits. With The Hartman Company, MicroGrid has produced a string of regional and national energy award-winning projects that substituted technology and intelligence for energy. Egnor, an ASHRAE member since 1983, is a Senior Consultant to NBI and a BetterBricks Advisor for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance.
