Workshop: Sustainability and Information Technology

This workshop offers participants an in-depth look at the sustainability movement and the implications for IT departments. Participants are provided with a framework for understanding both the challenges and opportunities IT presents to organizations working to reduce their environmental impact. This workshop also offers practical, hands-on training for individuals wanting to learn how to conduct a Green IT assessment. Participants are introduced to available tools and will conduct a Green IT assessment based on a typical organization.

Participants will be provided with a copy of the Green IT Guide and Toolkit (see www.greenittools.com for more information).

Jessica Vreeswijk, MBA in Sustainable Business (Bainbridge Graduate Institute) has a strong background in business and sustainability, backed by professional project management training.  Jessica is the founder of Terrabytes Consulting ( www.terrabytesconsulting.com ), a green IT firm that helps organizations measure and manage their environmental impact.
