WEBINAR RECORDING: Measure What Matters - Made Easy: Using the B Impact Assessment (BIA)

How do you make it easy for businesses to baseline their impact?  Get a walkthrough of the new B Impact Assessment – an online, easy to use tool used by 15,000+ to measure their impact for free.   See how other consultants and universities are using this tool to introduce sustainability to businesses that are new to the “space” and find out how they provide brand value to businesses that are already advanced in their sustainability efforts.

The B Impact Assessment (BIA) is the most commonly used tool to assess a company’s overall social and environmental performance.  It does so by measuring the overall impact of a business on all stakeholders (workers, suppliers, customers, community, and environment) through an online, easy to use platform.  The B Impact Assessment is a free, confidential service administered by the non-profit organization B Lab.

Recorded live on Thursday January 23, 2014

Hardik Savalia oversees the development of the B Impact Assessment, a tool that has assisted 15,000+ organizations in measuring what matters most - their company's impact on employees, communities, and the environment.   Prior to joining B Lab, Hardik worked for the Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition to equip Philadelphia residents with tools to avoid home foreclosure. Hardik is also a Senior Fellow with the Environmental Leadership Program and a graduate of Boston University's School of Management.

David Steingard, Ph.D.  Associate Professor, Associate Airector of the Pedro Arrupe Center for Business Ethics. Dr. Steingard is working on creating new programs to further existing efforts to incorporate ethics teaching in classrooms and faculty members' research agendas. "Most business practices do not integrate ethics up front, but deal with them as an afterthought," he adds. "If people were adequately trained and more knowledgeable, they would be able to make better -- both ethically and commercially sound --business decisions."

A faculty member in the Haub School of Business since 1999, Dr. Steingard also studies spirituality and management, organizational behavior, leadership, and diversity. He has been quoted by both print and electronic media outlets.
