David Milia is Director of Energy & Environment Initiatives at the Haskayne School of Business where he oversees several community facing seminars and is a sessional instructor in the evening MBA program teaching the Business of Oil & Gas and the Business of Clean Technology. He has over 18 years of oil and gas experience within multiple disciplines. He began his career in surveying and exploration, transitioned to engineering procurement and construction management and from there progressed into project management and corporate leadership.
Most notably, David Milia’s career included time at EnCana, later Cenovus, handling their engineering procurement and construction management coordination, documentation controls, and GIS special projects. David has also served as the Academic Chair for the BSc in construction project management at SAIT and is the Chairman of the Canadian Coalition for Green Finance. David also serves as advisor to several Boards, as well as sits on various Board Sub-Committees. David holds a dual undergraduate degree, a technical diploma and a dual MBA focused in global energy management and sustainability, and project management. He is a Certified Engineering Technologist under ASET. Before relocating to Calgary, David lived in Europe (Spain) and South America (Argentina) always keeping a close connection to Spain from where his family originates.
