WEBINAR: How Perdue Farms Uses Scorecards to Drive Sustainability
Recorded live on Thursday, April 19th, 2018
Sustainable food is having a moment. In the U.S. and abroad, demand for a variety of improved agricultural and livestock practices - organic, free-range, antibiotic-free - has skyrocketed. But how do we transition from a moment to a movement? How do we make sustainability standard practice at the largest food suppliers?
We sit down with Steve Levitsky, Vice President of Sustainability at Perdue Farms, to discuss how Perdue internalizes sustainable goals and leverages environmental scorecards and stakeholder relationships towards making their vision a reality across a global supply chain.
This webinar is moderated by Tad Radzinski, co-founder, and President of Sustainable Solutions Corporation.
Steve Levitsky is the Vice President of Sustainability with global responsibilities for Sustainability Programs at Perdue Farms. Steve reports directly to the Chairman and has 5 direct reports that focus on environmental and sustainability issues at Perdue Farms. His duties are primarily focused on the strategic direction of the sustainability program at Perdue Farms – both Foods and Agribusiness.
Steve is working to continue Perdue Farms’ journey toward becoming a sustainable company. This is defined in Perdue's Stewardship Value – We protect our environment, live up to our civic responsibilities, ensure the well being of our associates, and generate earnings for the future of our company. This value aligns perfectly with the Triple Bottom Line Concept of a Sustainable Business that incorporates the people, planet, profit aspects.
