The European Regional Learning Network continues its great work discussing topics of interest and sharing resources on September 13th at 1pm CEST (Paris/Geneva/Rome time). We are excited to expand this region to include United Kingdom members contributing to these valuable discussions.
Buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions in the European Union (EU), while almost 75% of the EU building stock is considered inefficient energy-wise. The radical improvement of the energy performance of buildings is a critical part of the EU's climate-related policies--as well as representing a win-win-win opportunity for people, the planet and profits. The Sympraxis Team has been working on this topic since 2009, and has been involved in several relevant initiatives. ISSP member Alexander Deliyannis, Head of Consulting Services for Sympraxis Team, will present some of their work in the field and highlight current and future perspectives of this very interesting and challenging market.
