A meetup of sustainability and CSR professionals in the UAE at 6:30pm local time on Tuesday, October 23rd.

How to integrate SDGs into business: A hands-on meet-up!

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was adopted by 193 countries of the UN General Assembly, set out 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) covering a wide spectrum of issues the humanity is faced with today.

During the last three years, SDGs have become a central meeting point for governments, businesses, and NGOs alike to cooperate as to achieve sustainability priorities. The huge emphasis is placed on the private sector and businesses to incorporate sustainability into their strategies and there are voices saying: "The private sector will make or break the SDGs."

So, how can businesses contribute to the achievement of the SDGs? The theory offers numerous tools but the practical implementation of SDGs is a stumbling block to the realization of the SDG Agenda that many companies are encountering.

This 21st meetup will focus on real challenges and ways business can identify and integrate SDGs in their core activities, in order to allow them to assess their impacts, set goals and communicate transparently their results. The discussion will bring up the topic on how the SDGs represents a business opportunity for every company and how investing in meeting the SDGs can unlock new opportunities and secure a company’s long-term prosperity.

This is a hands-on meetup with practical application in business.
