As sustainability professionals, we often find ourselves striving to convince those around us on the bottom-line significance of a whole host of environmental, social, and resource management issues. But drawing our companies’, clients’, and consultees’ attention to the need for energy savings can be an easy sell!

ISSP’s upcoming webinar, taught by Mike Walker - founder of the marketing consulting firm AlterAction - will give sustainability professionals the tools to get key decisionmakers in any organization on board with energy efficiency. Energy savings means dollar savings, especially when companies can take advantage of the EPA’s ENERGY STAR program and support from local utilities.

PRESENTER:

Mike Walker is the founder of AlterAction Inc., a marketing consulting firm specializing instrategies for large-scale human behavior change.  Since 2002, the company has helped a wide range of corporate, nonprofit, and government clients understand and re-shape the behavior of customers, employees, and communities. Mike is a frequent speaker on behavioral marketing and is a recognized expert on energy efficiency programs. 

Prior to AlterAction, Mike served as COO of IT services firm Complete Communications, VP of Client Services at Belenos, and Manager at Deloitte Consulting. Mike graduated from the University of Virginia and holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School.
