WEBINAR RECORDING: Sustainability Contract Clauses - The New Legal Frontier

Sustainability contract clauses are for both the here and now and the future. Don't miss the boat in making sure your organization and the organizations with whom you contract use the latest sustainability clauses to embed sustainability into everything your company, your partners, and your supply chain and customers do.  In this webinar you will learn:

  • Legal clauses that bind parties to sustainability goals and objectives and how to enforce them.
  • To negotiate these clauses and the benefits in terms of competitive advantage of these clauses to each of the parties.
  • To approach lawyers & legal counsel negotiating deals to include these clauses & get them on board.

The presentation will include actual sustainability clauses that have been placed into legal contracts and a discussion of how to  introduce these clauses into negotiations. The presentation will describe the leverage points that parties have to induce the other party to agree to these clauses.  This is a presentation for all levels of expertise.

Attendees will receive a series of sustainability oriented clauses that can and should be drafted into contracts with suppliers, strategic alliance partners, employees, and customers.  In addition, Herb will discuss how to negotiate successfully such clauses and why it is in the interests of both parties to include sustainability clauses into legal contracts.

PRESENTER:  

Herb Rubenstein, JD, MPA, DSS, SMP, is a lecturer in strategic management in the Global Energy Management Program at the University of Colorado Denver. He is an attorney with his law degree from Georgetown University. He is also the author of three books, one on strategic planning and two on leadership, plus over 100 articles on business-related topics.  He is a frequent speaker and workshop leader on sustainability, scenario planning, and leadership and has spoken on five continents on these topics. 

Rubenstein was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Washington and Lee University, received a master in public affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs of the University of Texas at Austin, and was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to the University of Bristol, in Bristol, England where he received a graduate diploma in the social sciences.

He presents on sustainability and advises the legal community on how to incorporate sustainability clauses into legal contracts.
