We all know that sustainability performance improvements must be linked to the larger organizational objectives. Ensuring that we speak the language of Operational Excellence is imperative. Directing resources to sustainability and environmental performance improvement projects happens as the sustainability leader is educated on continual improvement methods. This can go way beyond using Lean Production methods to reduce waste. When integrated, we can use the rigor of our operational excellence peer professionals to improve performance on human rights, fair trade, organizational governance, or even community involvement.
WEBINAR: Integrating Sustainability With Operational Excellence
Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET
Many organizations are turning to their Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence resources to participate in sustainability and environmental performance. In this Webinar, participants will learn how to integrate Continual Improvement for Social Responsibility (CISR: sounds like scissor) into their existing Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence program. CISR is a methodology for tackling the complex, multidimensional challenges faced when pursuing social responsibility and sustainability opportunities. The sustainability leader and associate who can understand the language of continual improvement will be able to focus already-existing organizational resources to achieve sustainability performance improvement.
Many sustainability leaders struggle with resources to apply to performance improvement. Getting sustainability improvement projects prioritized as integral to Operational Excellence efforts can be difficult. This Webinar will demonstrate how sustainability leaders can easily use existing resources, human resources that are already in their organizations, for performance improvement. With just a few modifications of common performance improvement methods, important strategic sustainability improvements can be achieved without adding staff.
This webinar is designed for sustainability practitioners who are struggling to do a lot with very little resources and those who are perceived of as extra-to, not integral to, their organization’s business success. Learning outcomes include:
- Ability to partner with the Continual Improvement group in your organization to collaborate on sustainability performance improvement.
- Learn how to integrate continual improvement for social responsibility (CISR: sounds like scissor) into their existing sustainability efforts.
- Apply the rigor of problem solving methods such as Six Sigma, to sustainability improvement projects.
